SCHOLARSHIP OFFERINGS

ENF MOST VALUABLE STUDENT

The Elks National Foundation annually awards 500 four-year scholarships ranging from $1,000 per year $12,500 per year to graduating seniors based on financial need, leadership and scholarship.

Applications are usually available online after September 1 and are due back to local Lodges in early December. Check the links below for applications and additional information on applying for this scholarship. (DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR 2014)

Additional Most Valuable Student  Scholarship Information

The Elks National Foundation also offers Legacy Awards in the amount of $4,000 ($1,000 per year for four years). These merit-based awards are available to children and grand children of Elks members who are in good standing. (DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR 2014)

/  IOWA ELKS ASSN. SCHOLARSHIPS

Students applying for the ENF Most Valuable Student Award whose applications are not forwarded to the national level are eligible to receive one-time awards from the Iowa Elks Association. These awards range from $500 to $800 and are payable to the college or university the student attends the following fall. (DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR 2014)

/  IOWA ELKS ASSN. VOCATIONAL GRANTS

The Iowa Elks Association annually awards $500 grants to students (traditional and non-traditional) who plan to attend a vocational or technical school for vocational training. These awards are NOT INTENDED for students ultimately pursuing a four-year bachelors degree. (DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR 2014)

JANUARY

  • 1 - Local judging of MVS applications completed.

  • 15 - Iowa Elks Association Vocational Grant applications available.

  • 24 - District judging of MVS applications completed.

 

FEBRUARY

  • 12 - State judging of MVS applications completed.

 

MARCH

  • 14 - Iowa Elks Association Vocational Grant applications due to local Lodges.
