CHARLES CITY LODGE #418
SINCE 1898
WELCOME!
The Charles City Elks Lodge is justifiably proud of its over 115 years of service to its communities. Located on the east side of Charles City, the Lodge jurisdiction ranges from Clear Lake on the west to Lawler in the east, the Minnesota state line on the north and to Waverly on the South.
Youth activities are a big focus for our Lodge. Each year we hold a Youth Recognition Banquet in May, conduct a Local and District Hoop Shoot® contest for children ages 8-13, honor Eagle Scout and Golden Award winners, hold a Post-Graduation Party for graduates of CCHS, participate in Drug Awareness programs, sponsor a Flag Essay contest, offer its facilities for fishing derbies and retreats for elementary aged students, provide dictionaries as part of the Dictionary Project® for third graders in Floyd and Chickasaw counties, assist in sending youth to camp, and work with the Charles City High School Comet Cafe for their "trimester test" meals.
In addition, we support many veterans activities including the Adopt-a-Vet program, make visits to the Marshalltown Veterans Home, collect deer hides for Veterans' craft programs and conduct an annual Flag Day Program for the residents of the community.
Of course, we would not be an Elks Lodge without also taking care of our members! A quick check of our calendar shows Friday dinners, taco nights, sandwich nights, Euchre tournaments and other special events. Lounge service is available five nights a week for our members and their guests.
We invite YOU to visit us if you already an Elks member... And we invite YOU to JOIN US if you are not yet a member. We hope to see you at the Lodge soon!
